ALGS Split 2 Playoffs Reach Finals Weekend in Las Vegas, With $600,000 for the Winner

After two days of groups at the Orleans Arena, Saturday’s elimination stage sets the 20 teams for Sunday’s Match Point Finals. Here is how it works and when to watch.
The ALGS Split 2 Playoffs are into their final weekend at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Forty Apex Legends teams played group matches on Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, and Saturday’s elimination stage decides the 20 teams for Sunday’s Match Point Finals on November 1.
There is $2,000,000 on the line, plus spots at Champs. EA says the event brings Apex Legends back to North America for the first time since 2024. The field qualified through the Split 2 Pro League and Regional Finals, which 120 teams across the four ALGS regions played for the 40 places.
What the teams are playing for
- Venue: Orleans Arena, Las Vegas
- Field: 40 teams, seeded on Championship Points into four groups of 10
- Prize pool: $2,000,000
- Winner: $600,000 and 1,000 Championship Points
- 40th place: $2,500 and 100 Championship Points
- Sunday extras: a NiceWigg vs Greek showmatch and an opening ceremony before the Match Point Finals
ALGS Year 6 carries a $7M prize pool across three global LAN events, and the Year 6 Championship will be held in Sapporo, Japan.
From 40 teams to one champion
The four groups, labeled A to D, each played a six-match series against each of the other groups on Thursday and Friday. EA’s group lists include Sentinels and ZETA DIVISION in Group A, NRG and Team Falcons in Group B, Team RRQ in Group C, and Aurora, Gen.G Citadel, Team Liquid and Shopify Rebellion in Group D.
- Saturday’s elimination stage: cumulative group points split the field. The top 20 go to the Winners Bracket and the bottom 20 to the Lower Bracket.
- Sunday’s Match Point Finals: 20 teams play, and a team must reach 50 points and then win a match to take the trophy.
When to watch, in Pacific time
- Saturday, October 31: Elimination Round 1 at 10:15 AM, the Winners Round at 2:30 PM and Elimination Round 2 at 6:45 PM
- Sunday, November 1: the NiceWigg vs Greek showmatch at 1:00 PM, the opening ceremony at 3:00 PM and the Match Point Finals at 3:30 PM
