Random champion selection is a good reason to read the lineup before the first fight.

ARAM’s random champion selection and concentrated team fighting create a different learning environment from a normal Summoner’s Rift lane. Riot’s mode guide explains the current rules. Before the action starts, take a moment to identify what your particular team can do together. (Riot Games ARAM support guide)

Look for a way to begin and a way to follow

Ask which teammate can create an opening and who needs time or space to contribute. If everyone waits for someone else to start, the team may drift into isolated attempts. A simple shared plan is often more useful than five players independently chasing damage.

Read an unfamiliar champion’s abilities before treating it like a character you already know. Pay particular attention to range and what helps teammates, not just the largest damage number.

Use repeated fights as practice

After an engagement, notice whether the team arrived together and whether you committed before support was ready. Change one habit for the next fight. ARAM’s rules and special variants can evolve, so use the current client and official guide for the exact mode you enter. The lasting lesson is recognizing a lineup’s opportunities quickly and adjusting your own role to help the players beside you.
