Riot trims Ambessa, Ashe, Cassiopeia, K’Sante and Yunara, buffs 11 champions, and adds a HEARTSTEEL skin line led by a Prestige Sett.

Riot Games released League of Legends Patch 26.20 on October 7 and called it the Worlds patch: the version of Summoner’s Rift that Riot says this year’s World Championship will be played on. It tones down several pro-play staples, buffs 11 champions and adds a new HEARTSTEEL skin line.
Yunara and Rocketbelt take the headline nerfs
Yunara gets the most pointed nerf. Riot wants to keep her from leading a “hyperscaler” meta heading into Worlds, so her Q on-hit damage drops from 5–25 to 3–23 (+20% AP), and her W slow no longer stacks with other slows.
Hextech Rocketbelt loses half its ability haste, from 20 to 10, but its active now hits for 135 (+15% AP). Riot is pushing the item toward engages rather than escapes.
The rest of the balance pass
Toned down
- Ambessa: her passive now deals 5–25 (+20% bonus AD).
- Ashe: attack damage per level falls from 3.5 to 3.
- Cassiopeia: loses base health and mana.
- K’Sante: W costs more mana, and its damage reduction drops from 30/75% to 25/70%.
- Experimental Hexplate: gives ranged champions less.
- Runaan’s Hurricane: drops from 65% to 60% AD per bolt.
Buffed
Diana, Kennen, Kindred, Lillia, Lucian, Mordekaiser, Neeko, Smolder, Swain, Tahm Kench and Vayne all get stronger. Kennen’s and Neeko’s buffs partly make up for the Rocketbelt change.
HEARTSTEEL skins, scoreboard tweaks and Patch 26.21
Prestige HEARTSTEEL Live My Life Sett leads the new skins, alongside HEARTSTEEL Live My Life Ezreal, Kayn, Aphelios, Yone and K’Sante, plus Prestige Classic Baron Kog’Maw. Elite chromas arrive for five SKT T1 skins.
Away from the skin shop, the scoreboard now hides most item counters, and Ranked 5s queues stay open from 4 PM to 4 AM server time. Patch 26.21 is scheduled for October 21.
