Gamemode One’s official add-on costs 1,340 Minecoins and lets you learn all four elements at temples that generate in your own worlds.

Want to bend the elements in your own Minecraft worlds? Now you can. Avatar Legends Add-On, a new Minecraft Marketplace add-on inspired by Avatar: The Last Airbender, went on sale on October 16.
Avatar Legends Add-On at a glance
- Made by: Gamemode One
- Price: 1,340 Minecoins
- Where it works: in your own worlds, rather than a separate adventure map
- How you start: pick a starting element, then unlock the others over time
- Where to get it: the Minecraft Marketplace, available now
Four elements, Chi and the Avatar State
Mojang says each element has three techniques, such as an earth wall, water arms that work like grappling hooks, fire jets that act like a jetpack and an air tornado attack. Mastering a technique also grants a passive bonus, like fire resistance from firebending.
Every technique draws on Chi, an energy meter that regenerates and grows as you open more Chakras. Take what should be fatal damage and the Avatar State kicks in, giving you a short burst of invulnerability with free bending. Eventually, you can learn to enter it at will.
Temples, Meditation Points and new blocks
Nation temples generate in matching biomes, so a Water Temple is more likely to appear in a frozen biome. Inside, past Avatars offer guidance, and Meditation Points let you spend mastery points on new or upgraded techniques. You can craft your own Meditation Point, but unlocking a new element still means finding its temple.
The add-on also brings Nation-themed building blocks, including Sintered Stone, made by earthbending stone, and Scorched Timber, made by firebending wood.
Is it the same as the Avatar Legends map?
No. It’s a separate purchase from Avatar Legends, the adventure world Gamemode One released on the Marketplace in December 2022.
