With more than 40 million players behind it, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gets New Game+ on Thursday, November 5. Ubisoft shared the date in its Assassin’s Creed Fall 2026 Update on October 29, a roundup in which Head of Content Jean Guesdon walked through franchise news.

The same post says Ubisoft has no other Assassin’s Creed remake in active development after Black Flag Resynced, and that the next major update on Codename Hexe comes in 2027.

What Valhalla’s November 5 update adds

Valhalla’s New Game+ carries over much of your progression and comes with dedicated NG+ scaling. The update also adds:

  • An optional progression mode in which Gear, Runes and Masteries all contribute to Eivor’s total Power
  • New runes, new achievements and a stash system
  • A Master Assassin outfit inspired by Naoe’s look in Assassin’s Creed Shadows
  • Mithril, a new resource for upgrading Divine Gear and strengthening runes
  • Divine Gear quality for all items

Ubisoft says full details will come in upcoming patch notes, along with news on current-generation console updates in the coming days. The announcement doesn’t list platforms for New Game+.

No other remake after Black Flag Resynced

Black Flag Resynced, Ubisoft’s first Assassin’s Creed remake, launched on July 9. Its final major update marks the end of current plans for additional major content, with new rewards including Blackbeard’s iconic outfit and Edward’s London attire.

Ubisoft says it currently has no other Assassin’s Creed remake actively in development. Its teams are focused on the next titles instead, including unannounced projects with new settings and stories.

Where Hexe, Invictus and the Netflix series stand

Codename Hexe

Ubisoft says it is making steady progress on Hexe, a darker Assassin’s Creed experience, and will share the next major update in 2027.

Codename Invictus

The multiplayer project held its first private Insiders Session with hundreds of players. After feedback asking for more of the series’ pillars, Ubisoft says Invictus is evolving.

Netflix’s live-action series

Production is nearing completion in Rome, Italy, and composer Hannah Peel will score the show. There’s no release date yet.

New leadership and the 20th anniversary

A new Assassin’s Creed Leadership Team, led by Martin Schelling, is shaping the franchise’s future, and a new Community Survey is live. The series turns 20 next year, and Ubisoft plans a year of reveals, updates, rewards and community moments starting in 2027.
