Racing stripes on a white base
Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the controller on the PlayStation Blog on October 14. The design puts racing stripes and motorsport-inspired graphics on a white base, with a textured, carbon-fiber-style front plate. The official Gran Turismo site says it commemorates the 30th anniversary of the original Gran Turismo’s release, which falls next year.
Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, on the inspiration behind it:
“Thirty years ago, Gran Turismo began with a vision to share the beauty and joy of the automobile. This commemorative controller celebrates the journey we have shared together, and I am deeply grateful to everyone whose passion continues to inspire us.”

The reveal arrived alongside Gran Turismo 7’s free Spec IV (Part 1) update, which added six new vehicles, the Sportsland Sugo circuit, new events and new Scapes locations.
