GTA Online's summer 2026 update adds the Kortz Center Heist, an art-gallery robbery with new characters and vehicles, possibly the last major story update before GTA 6.

One more big score
GTA Online refuses to go quietly. The summer 2026 update, dubbed the Kortz Center Heist and delivered as Title Update 1.73, released July 14, 2026, giving the long-running online mode a fresh, high-value robbery to sink into. It may well be the last major story-driven update before GTA 6 changes everything.
The heist tasks players with robbing the Kortz Center art gallery in Pacific Bluffs. To take part, players need to buy and upgrade a Mansion with an Art Studio extension, adding a progression hook to the setup.
What the update adds
The Kortz Center Heist brings a full slate of new content:
- New characters including Mr. Faber and fixer Raf De Angelis.
- An art-counterfeiting mechanic woven into the heist's structure.
- A multi-stage heist playable solo or with up to four players.
- New vehicles including the Grotti Veleno GT, a HSW-capable super car, plus the Benefactor LRC GT and Grotti Cartuccia GT.
The scope and polish suggest Rockstar wanted to send GTA Online's current era off with a memorable, substantial addition rather than a minor drip of content.
A farewell tour
The timing gives this update extra weight. As potentially the final major heist before GTA 6, the Kortz Center job caps more than a decade of GTA Online expansions that transformed a bonus mode into one of gaming's most durable live services. Rockstar has also signaled that more GTA 6 teasers may appear in-game in the following months, turning GTA Online into a promotional bridge to its successor.
For dedicated players, the heist is a reason to return and a fitting capstone. The art-counterfeiting twist and the Mansion requirement add novelty, while the new super cars give the ever-active vehicle community fresh toys to chase. Running the multi-stage job with a crew of four is exactly the kind of cooperative set piece GTA Online does best.
With GTA 6 on the horizon, every GTA Online update now feels like a goodbye to an era. The Kortz Center Heist delivers one last elaborate score, letting the community celebrate the mode's legacy while the countdown to Vice City ticks down.
