The Pokémon Company International calls it the brand’s first physical retail space outside Asia. There’s no address or exact date yet, but exclusive merchandise is promised.

London is getting a permanent, physical Pokémon store. The Pokémon Company International announced it on Wednesday, October 21, and says the store is currently scheduled to open by 2029.
The company calls it the first physical retail space for the Pokémon brand outside of Asia.
What will the London store offer?
The announcement promises a variety of exclusive merchandise and one-of-a-kind experiences for Trainers of all ages. Gaku Susai, Chief Product and Experience Officer at The Pokémon Company International, said the store will give visitors:
“the chance to step into the world of Pokémon.”
Specifics are still to come. The company hasn’t given any product details, and its announcement doesn’t call the store a Pokémon Center, the name London’s 2019 pop-up used.
The first of several stores outside Asia
London is meant to be the start of something bigger. The Pokémon Company International says the store will be the first of several permanent Pokémon stores planned to launch outside of Asia.
Plenty is still unknown, including the address and the exact opening date. The announcement gives neither, only the target of opening by 2029, and the company says more information will follow in the future.
London’s earlier Pokémon pop-ups
The city has hosted Pokémon pop-ups before. Here is how London’s Pokémon retail story runs so far:
- October 18 to November 15, 2019: a temporary Pokémon Center pop-up at Westfield London
- 2026: a Pokémon × Natural History Museum pop-up shop in the museum’s Cranbourne Boutique, inspired by the book Pokécology: An Illustrated Guide to Pokémon Ecology
- October 21, 2026: The Pokémon Company International announces a permanent London store
- By 2029: the store’s current scheduled opening
