World of Warcraft’s Hallow’s End celebration runs from October 18 through November 1, filling Azeroth with costumes, Tricky Treats, and the return of the Headless Horseman. The holiday commemorates the Forsaken breaking free from the Scourge.

Trick-or-treating stretches across the world

Players can visit innkeepers throughout Azeroth, Northrend, Pandaria, Outland, Draenor, and the Broken Isles version of Dalaran for treats, tricks, and holiday currency. The Headless Horseman will also attack Razor Hill and Goldshire, where bucket-brigade activities ask players to extinguish the fires before confronting the rider.

Characters from level 23 through 110 can queue through Dungeon Finder for the Horseman encounter in the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard. Successful groups have a chance to claim his seasonal steed.

New rewards join the holiday collection

Tricky Treats can be exchanged for newly added items, including an Exquisite Costume Set based on Xavius, separate head and tail pieces for a horse costume, and the Naxxy battle pet. A questline in Val’sharah begins with the Hag of the Crooked Tree in Bradensbrook and ends with more Tricky Treats plus a chance at one of four witch-themed hats.

With the event lasting two weeks, players have a limited window to collect its cosmetics, complete the holiday activities, and make another attempt at the Horseman’s mount.
