Black Flag Resynced’s September Patch Adds a Rescue Dog and Cleaner Looks

Update 1.0.7 brings cosmetic toggles and fixes for stealth, fast travel, and Steam Deck HDR.

Black Flag Resynced’s September update gives Edward a new animal companion and more control over his appearance. Ubisoft scheduled version 1.0.7 for September 1 in its August 31 patch notes.
A quieter look, another companion
Players can hide Edward’s pistols and switch off visual effects from trinket perks. A dog can also be rescued in the Caribbean and may subsequently appear at the hideout.
Fixes that affect a play session
Ubisoft lists corrections for falling through the world after fast travel to Principe, losing Edward’s crouched stance after Photo Mode, and a black screen when enabling HDR on Steam Deck. Download sizes differ substantially: 15.26 GB on Xbox Series X|S versus 1.53 GB on PS5.
If one of these problems interrupted your campaign, check the installed version before revisiting that sequence. The patch notes are Ubisoft’s account of the changes; we have not independently tested these fixes. Players still encountering a problem can follow the support links in the official notes.
Where the remake stands
Resynced launched July 9, rebuilding Edward Kenway’s pirate adventure for current hardware. For anyone continuing that adventure this month, the appearance settings and bug fixes are the changes to look for after updating.
