A main weapon, recovered equipment, and ability choices should add up to a coherent plan.

The Black Ops 7 Endgame overview describes loadouts built around a main weapon, melee weapon, Field Acquisition, and Field Equipment, alongside Major and Minor ability choices. A Field Acquisition comes from a weapon recovered and extracted in an earlier Endgame match. These choices make preparation part of the experience. (Call of Duty Endgame overview)

Decide how you want to contribute

Before comparing individual pieces, choose a role for the next run. You might want to handle close threats, support a partner’s approach, or maintain a comfortable distance while the team moves. Then examine whether each selection supports that purpose or leaves a gap you expect someone else to cover.

Coordinate those gaps with your group. Four individually impressive setups do not automatically make a balanced team.

Treat a run as information

Set a modest objective for your first attempt with a new configuration. Notice whether trouble came from the equipment, the route, or a decision to stay longer than planned. Keep useful recovered options in mind when preparing the next session, and check current in-game descriptions after updates. The most satisfying loadout is one whose strengths and limits you can explain before the action starts, then improve using what happened during the run.
