Ultimate Edition and EA Play players can start early while the opening seasonal roadmap takes shape.
EA Sports FC 27’s early-access period is underway. Ultimate Edition access began September 18 on consoles and Nintendo Switch 2, while the PC window opened September 17 at 11 p.m. UTC. EA Play members can use a 10-hour trial that started September 18 at 4 a.m. UTC.
The worldwide launch schedule
The worldwide launch follows on September 25 for consoles, with the PC version opening September 24 at 11 p.m. UTC. The Web App and refreshed Companion App arrived earlier in the week, so returning Ultimate Team players can begin organizing their clubs before the standard release.
The first season is already moving
Season 1: Ones to Watch runs through October 22. Launch plans span Football Ultimate Team, The Grounds, Career Mode, Clubs, and continuing quality-of-life updates. The published roadmap is a set of opening priorities rather than a guarantee that every balance detail will remain unchanged.
The timing matters when comparing editions. Ultimate Edition includes the early start, while Standard Edition buyers should plan for the worldwide launch. EA Play’s trial is limited to ten hours, so closing the game when a session is finished can help preserve time for later.
Players carrying eligible rewards forward from FC 26 should also check the separate reward timing in-game; some carryover items are scheduled to arrive after the initial launch window rather than immediately.
