Elden Ring Nightreign’s DLC, The Forsaken Hollows, launched on December 4, 2025, and FromSoftware has supported it into 2026 with a major balance patch and a run of smaller fixes.

The DLC is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. It costs $15 on Steam in the US, and the Deluxe and Collector’s Editions include it.

Two Nightfarers, two bosses and a new Shifting Earth

  • Scholar: an arcane-focused academic who studies enemies to grant buffs and inflict debuffs.
  • Undertaker: an abbess who pairs strength and faith with a heavy hammer.
  • The Dreglord and the Balancers: two new third-day bosses.
  • The Great Hollow: a new Shifting Earth, a cavern deep beneath Limveld filled with ruins and cursed crystals.

How to unlock it all

  1. Defeat Tricephalos.
  2. Speak to the Iron Menial at Roundtable Hold to unlock Scholar and Undertaker.
  3. Beat one other boss besides Tricephalos. With both new Nightfarers unlocked, that opens the Balancers and the Great Hollow.

Since December, DLC content can also appear in the Deep of Night mode, as long as everyone in the session owns the DLC.

January’s balance patch, then a run of fixes

Patch 1.03.2 arrived on January 15, 2026. It raised Guardian’s damage negation and guard boost, sped up Raider’s attacks with greataxes, great hammers and colossal weapons, and strengthened Executor’s Cursed Sword skill. It also reduced two bow-related relic effects and capped how many Fire Pots and Throwing Knives shops sell.

Later updates have focused on fixes:

  • March 31 — a regulation update for a multiplayer slowdown
  • July 2 — a PC software update
  • September 18 — a network security update for PS4 and PS5

Bandai Namco says more updates will follow.
