The Switch 2 edition’s extras aren’t locked to Switch 2. PlayStation, Xbox and PC players got the same new content on August 28, 2026, when Bandai Namco released the Tarnished Pack, a paid add-on for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Steam.

It arrived a day after Patch 1.17, which added support for the pack along with a round of balance changes.

Inside the $4.99 Tarnished Pack

The pack costs $4.99 on Steam in the US and requires the base game. For that, you get:

  • the Heavy Knight and Idus Knight starting classes;
  • four armor sets;
  • new weapons, which you can buy from merchants or find in the world;
  • NPC invasion events in Caelid and in Leyndell, Royal Capital, though the Leyndell event no longer occurs once the city becomes the Ashen Capital.

Where to find Torrent’s new looks

Three Spectral Steed Attires change Torrent’s look:

  • Tree Sentinel: Stormveil Castle
  • Silver of Caria: Liurnia of the Lakes
  • Funereal Night: the Altus Plateau

Once you find one, a Site of Grace option lets you swap Torrent’s appearance.

Patch 1.17: better parries, faster Meteorites

Parrying and shields

The free update improves parrying and shortens recovery after parries with daggers, curved swords and small shields. Storm Wall no longer costs FP, many shields gained guard boost, and several got lighter.

Spells, weapons and treasure

Meteorite and Meteorite of Astel now cast faster. Carian Sorcery Sword’s Intelligence scaling now boosts all of its damage types, and some Realm of Shadow items were swapped for higher-tier treasures, though items you’ve already collected don’t change.

PvP, and the 1.17.1 fix

In PvP, Rugalea’s Roar now deals less damage to other players. Patch 1.17.1 followed on September 8 to fix a multiplayer bug that let players obtain items they shouldn’t have been able to get. You’ll need both updates to play online.
