Rocket League Worlds Is Heading to Fort Worth: Start Here

Rocket League’s official schedule places the 2026 World Championship in Fort Worth, Texas, from September 15–20. Twenty teams are listed for an event carrying a $1.2 million prize pool. It is a substantial week of competition, so a little preparation makes the bracket easier to enjoy. (Rocket League official competitive schedule)

Watch the player away from the ball

For a first viewing session, pay attention to the teammate holding space behind an attack. Their position often determines whether a missed shot becomes another offensive chance or an immediate counterattack. You do not need to know every advanced mechanic to recognize a team keeping its options open.

Next, follow boost management. A player leaving the action to collect resources creates a brief tradeoff: more capacity for the next play, less immediate pressure on the current one.

Follow a team through the week

Pick a team before checking the bracket, and write down what you notice in its first series. Revisit those observations later: does it challenge earlier, defend more patiently, or change its passing rhythm? Use the official schedule for match times and broadcast links as the event approaches. A championship is more engaging when you can spot how a team adapts between opponents.
