Assassin’s Creed Shadows: Build a Quieter Rooftop Route
GAME MODE Staff·Aug 16, 2026· 1m read
Getting down cleanly can matter as much as reaching the roof.

Ubisoft’s parkour overview emphasizes the differences between Naoe and Yasuke, including Naoe’s greater climbing agility. It also distinguishes upward and downward movement, with quieter descent options depending on the available geometry. A rooftop route should include the landing you intend to make at its end. Inspect the descent before committing
Look for a way down that preserves the advantage of taking the high route. Dropping into an exposed courtyard can undo the patience spent reaching the roof. Consider where a guard could see the landing, not only whether the climb itself is possible.
Practice moving through a familiar structure in both directions. A route that feels obvious going up can be less intuitive when you need to leave quickly.
Make movement part of the plan
Choose a small destination and try reaching it with fewer awkward corrections. The aim is a route you can repeat comfortably, not a race against an imagined timer. If the character takes an unexpected path, slow down and study the available handholds or surfaces. Knowing the environment gives you more control than holding a movement command and hoping the next jump leads toward your objective.
