Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave is available now for Nintendo Switch 2. The original story unfolds in the Dagdan Empire, where the return of the demon god Balor sends the player back in time to the Heroic Games.

Four stories can be played in any order

The adventure follows four central competitors: Cai, Dietrich, Theodora, and Leda. Their individual storylines can be played in any order, and progress in one can be paused while the player moves to another. That structure makes Fortune’s Weave a new entry point rather than a direct continuation that requires prior series knowledge.

Blaze Arts turn health into a tactical choice

Turn-based battles still emphasize positioning, attack range, classes, equipment, and unit matchups. The new Blaze Arts add a sharper risk-and-reward decision: signature moves cost HP and fill a shared Blaze Gauge. Reaching the halfway point grants a power boost, but filling the gauge completely triggers Burst, removes the bonus, and cuts that hero’s maximum HP in half.

Players who are new to tactical RPGs can use a limited turn-rewind feature to correct mistakes. Between major story beats, the city offers recruiting, training, temples, and relationship building. The world map adds quests, roaming encounters, resource gathering, and dungeon exploration.

The game is priced at $69.99 in the United States and carries a Teen rating. Its store listing also notes in-game purchases among its interactive elements.
