Metroid and Kirby Lead Nintendo’s New Switch 2 Lineup

Nintendo’s September 9 Direct introduced new adventures for Samus and Kirby while adding major third-party games to Switch 2’s schedule. The official recap gives several releases firm dates.

The calendar highlights

• November 12, 2026: Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy.
• December 4, 2026: Monster Hunter Wilds on Switch 2, including cross-platform multiplayer.
• January 28, 2027: Metroid Ravenous, a new 2D Samus adventure.
• April 8, 2027: Final Fantasy VII Revelation on Switch 2.

Kirby looks further ahead

Kirby and the World Beyond is a new 3D game planned for spring 2027. Nintendo has given it a season rather than a specific launch day.

For planning purposes, keep the distinction between new games and new platform versions in view. Monster Hunter Wilds’ December date describes its Switch 2 arrival. Metroid and Kirby are newly announced adventures. That makes this a useful calendar update for existing Switch 2 owners, with both returning franchises and fresh releases to track.
