Assassin’s Creed is leaving the screen for the stage. HEREDIS: Echoes of the Past, the show created by The 7 Fingers, begins its Montreal run on December 5 at the Théâtre Maisonneuve in Place des Arts, then moves to Paris in January.

Opening night is now December 5

If you had December 3 circled, it’s time to update your calendar. Ubisoft’s August update on the franchise gave December 3 as the date of the world premiere. The schedules now posted by the show and by Place des Arts list the first performance on December 5 instead.

  • December 5 — the first performance at the Théâtre Maisonneuve
  • December 20 — the last of the 16 Montreal performances listed by the show’s official site and the venue
  • January 21 to February 7, 2027 — the Paris run at the Casino de Paris

Those schedules have matinees at 2 p.m. and evening shows at 7:30 p.m.

What happens on stage?

HEREDIS tells an original story. Naël refuses to accept that his missing father is gone for good, and on his 25th birthday, a mysterious letter leads him into the HEREDIS program and a series of trials across different historical eras.

Sébastien Soldevila directs, and the production puts 17 performers on stage. Expect acrobatics, urban parkour, choreographed combat and physical feats, all inside large visual environments drawn from the Assassin’s Creed games.

Do you need to know the games?

No. The show’s FAQ says no knowledge of the games is needed, though fans will find plenty of references.

A few things to check before you book: the show is performed in French in both Montreal and Paris, it runs two hours including an intermission, and it’s recommended for ages 7 and up. Tickets are sold through the official HEREDIS site, and Ubisoft says more tour dates will be announced later.
