Insomniac’s new release brings aggressive combat, replay modes, and extensive accessibility options.

Marvel’s Wolverine is available on PlayStation 5 from September 15. The US PlayStation Store lists the Standard Edition at $69.99 and the Digital Deluxe Edition at $79.99. This is a single-player release, with PS5 Pro enhancements and offline play supported.
A closer, rougher kind of superhero action
In a launch-week developer interview, Insomniac describes a character who required a different approach from Spider-Man. Logan’s physical weight, destructive claws, and personal ties to other mutants shaped the team’s combat and story decisions. The developers also discuss building tension within Team X, including his relationships with Sabretooth, Mystique, and Jean Grey.
The practical details come from Insomniac’s official features breakdown. Players can equip four Special Techniques and adjust their combat capabilities through Adaptations. Rage develops across three tiers, while optional challenges and collectibles give players reasons to investigate between fights.
Check the settings before the first mission
The game includes more than 100 accessibility features. Among the options are high-contrast visuals, English audio description, and adjustable global game speed. Separate violence and language controls can alter blood and dismemberment effects and filter English adult language.
Insomniac also lists New Game Plus, Mission Replay, and Nightmare Challenges among its launch features. Photo Mode is available through a day-one update, which requires an internet connection and a PlayStation account. Players planning to use it should install that update before settling in.
The Deluxe Edition adds suits, claw variants, Technique Points, early unlocks, and avatars. The Standard Edition contains the game itself. Players interested mainly in the story can compare those extras before deciding which edition suits them.
